Flat footed bowl with Watteau scene, Meissen, 2nd half of the 19th century.

Porcelain, partially glazed in purple and painted in polychrome and gold
On four rocaille feet, a flat, matching bowl, with a large Watteau scene in the center, framed in gold lace and surrounded by a purple ground, with a gold lace rim, and an underglaze blue crossed swords mark (two grinding marks) on the base. Approx. 5.5 x 25 x 19.5 cm, showing signs of age and use, gold partially rubbed.
