Art Deco figurine "Gazelle Ride," designed by Max Daniel Hermann Fritz (1873, Neuhaus - 1948, Dresden) in 1927 for Hutschenreuther, first half of the 20th century

Porcelain, gilt, depicting a leaping gazelle in a tense pose on a rectangular plinth with abstract vegetation, ridden by a young female nude holding onto its horns. The base is incised and signed "M. Herm. Fritz." The green manufacturer's mark with the inscription "Selb Bavaria - Abteilung für Kunst" (Selb Bavaria - Department of Art) is on the glaze on the base. Model number 609 is missing. The figurine is approximately 25 cm high. There is a small chip on one corner of the plinth, and the gilt decoration is heavily worn in places
