Porcelain, painted blue underglaze with scale relief decoration. Each soup bowl is shallow with side handles and a matching lid with a flat, round knob. The body and lid are decorated with a strawflower pattern. Each bowl (and the inside of the lid) bears a green manufacturer's mark with blue painter's numbers.
